Here are a few precious Lawson moments that I can't believe I forgot to post! Some just happened this afternoon but a few are from the weekend. Enjoy!
At one point this weekend when Lawson acted up Brad pulled him aside and this is what went down:
Brad: "Lawson, why are you acting like this?"
Lawson: "Because God made me like this"
Enough said!
I had to work in the church bookstore yesterday for a few hours and when I got home Brad and the kids were outside. I wish I had a picture of Lawson to post because he was a sight in his salmon colored Vineyard Vine shorts and his Georgia boots with no shirt standing in the back of his Dad's truck when I walked up and this was our conversation:
Me: "Lawson, your boots are so handsome!"
Lawson: "Handsome? I like you too, you are a princess"
Me: "Thanks!"
When I picked him up today he told me we needed to pray for Marshall (apparently Marshall was out today) because he might be sick or he might be at the doctor. On the way out the door he had an entire conversation with the preschool director about "when he was a grown up boy" and I mean it was a tall tale! So when we got in the car he asked me to pray for Marshall so I did and then he looked up at the ceiling and said "God, is Marshall sick?" "He's not?" "Mom, God said Marshall isn't sick." So that settled that. He had already asked God one question as we were leaving the parking lot and he told me God wouldn't answer him and I said it's okay, sometimes God just listens. He was okay with that for the time being. Other little tid bits from our recent rides:
"Mom, Go!" "I want Maddie to go fast!)
Somebody has told him when the light turns yellow or orange as he calls it then you pray so every time we are in the car and the light changes to yellow he breaks out in prayer! This should make some folks who have ridden with me laugh!
He lifted up the sweetest little boy prayer ever Saturday night for our friend, Unky who is in the hospital even praying that Unky would get a new house when he got out.
"Mom, I want to go to the movie store. God made the movie store"
We recently bought the movie "Bolt" and he loves it and has decided he wants a super dog like Bolt so when he blessed his food tonight he decided to ask God for a super dog like Bolt and then he added a little twist to his prayer....it was one I have never heard! It went something like this:
"Dear God,
Please give me a Bolt dog. I really, really, really want one. God tank you for my food and dear Lord everybody prays. Mom dear Lord prays, Dad dear Lord prays, Bella Grace dear Lord prays, Gannie Faye dear Lord prays, Gann dear Lord prays, Ga Ga dear Lord prays, Pop dear Lord prays and Aunt Meg dear Lord prays. I lub you. Amen.
Amen Lawson!
