So it has been a few weeks since I have blogged and when I get all of my pictures together from all I am blogging about I will post those. I plan to post some pictures from the KD National Convention I attended last week as well as pics from my birthday and some recent pics of the kids playing but in the meantime here are some cute kid stories:
The other night I was carrying Lawson to bed and he told Brad good night and then he turned his little head to me and said "I lub him" and it was the sweetest thing and he sounded like a parent talking about his kid rather than the kid referring to a parent. Priceless!
Then last night he got one of Brad's key tags and told him he was going to be just like him one day and he just kept saying "one day I'm going to be just like you" and it was so precious to see a little boy looking up to his Daddy so much and you could just feel Lawson's sincerity and that he was looking at not only his Dad but his hero. Brad was honored and told him that he wanted him to be better than him to which Lawson responded "nope, I want to be just like you"
I have found it funny lately that big brother Lawson does not like to see his sister get in trouble one bit. Kind of like he can do what he wants to BG but nobody else better do anything to her. I popped her little hand the other day in the car for doing something and Lawson firmly told me not to spank her and then I decided to try to teach her about time out when she pitched a fit (figuring I didn't start this soon enough with Lawson so I might as well start earlier with her!) and he didn't like that at all either as he pleaded with me and then even helped the little princess out of her pink time out chair because she shouldn't have to be there. I can tell he is going to be a good big brother!
This morning I took him to school like usual and opened his lunchbox which contained his breakfast (you know the breakfast each kid has to take even though about 30 minutes after they eat it the daycare serves breakfast) and it was a poptart and some fruit chews and Lawson said "Awe, Mom I really want some powdered doughnuts" then he promptly looked over to his friend Will and said "Will, you got some powdered doughnuts?" Will didn't have any either so I guess I better head to Kroger!
Bella Grace is not only know as BG, BGeeze, or the beast for make believe around our house but also as the Toilet Paper Bandit. That girl loves to unroll all of the toilet tissue and make a trail all over the house. I think she thinks it is pretty but we can always tell when she has made a trip to the bathroom because one of us has attempted to roll the paper back up onto the roller and you know it never goes back quite right. You can't really shut the doors to our master bathroom because they are double doors that you just push shut so she can get in and out easily so I have started putting a pony tail holder around the knobs but this morning little bit wiggled her way right through the small opening to get inside. She had a red spot on her head but other than she was all good and she was inside!
