Here are some pictures from the annual Outler family Christmas. It is always so much fun and we usually make a weekend out of it but at least a full day for sure. When I was growing up every Christmas Eve my Daddy's side of the family got together at my Nanny's house which was just about a block from my house. My Nanny passed away when I was 14 and for a few years we did nothing on Christmas Eve because nothing seemed right I guess since she was gone but then the aunts decided we needed to reinstate our tradition just at a different place obviously so Aunt Connie lives in Gray Court, SC and she offered to host us all which totals up to about 31 of us now that most of us have spouses and children of our own but this year Aunt Connie is in the midst of planning Eric's wedding so she opted out of hosting and Aunt Nita stepped up to the plate hosting us all at her house in Eatonton which was so much fun! Saturday morning the guys met for golf in Milledgeville while some of the women and kids stayed behind at the house to cook and play and the rest of us went to Madison for lunch and some shopping downtown. Then we had dinner and sat around singing Christmas carols while Uncle Ron strummed the guitar. Then the gift madness began.....the kids draw names but the aunts buy for all the kids so they have tons of stuff and we do the Chinese exchange which makes for lots of fun. We made some folks angry this year because me, Brad, Meg and Mom worked as a team to get what we wanted. Well, Brad didn't actually get anything he wanted but Meg and I scored with itunes for her and a cuddly blanket and candles for me! Thanks for taking one for the team Brad!
