This is a tradition we started on Lawson's first Christmas in 2005. Every Christmas Eve we bake and decorate a birthday cake for Jesus. Lawson loves cake so the tradition is becoming more fun each year as he grows and I am sure Bella will enjoy it next year when she is a little bigger. This year we did it during her naptime! My girlfriends from high school started what we hope will become a tradition this year too in that we have a birthday party for Jesus where all of our kids get together and eat cake and ice cream to celebrate the birth of Jesus and we have a small gift exchange. We hope these small traditions will begin to help our children learn the true meaning of the season and that they will remember it all through their lives.
